What are dental braces
(orthodontic cases)?
Dental braces (orthodontic cases) are devices used by our highly trained dentist to straighten crooked teeth or correct a misaligned bite. Braces help to reposition the teeth with the aims to correct the bite and create a beautifully straight smile.
How do they work
Dental braces work by placing constant pressure on each tooth to move them to the desired & correct position. This is done over several visits by our dentist.
What conditions can
braces fix?
People of all ages think about getting dental braces to either create a cosmetically beautiful smile, or to correct a structural issue. These include:
- Crooked teeth
- Crowded teeth

What are the different types of
braces available?
There are three main types of dental braces – metal, ceramic & invisible braces.
Metal Braces
Metal braces consist of metal brackets and wires. This style is the most affordable type of braces. There is the option of fun coloured bands that allow children to express themselves by personalising their braces with their favourite colours. We also use the latest techniques, which feature heat-activated archwires that use your body heat to assist in moving teeth faster with less pain.
Ceramic Braces
While these are the same size and shape as metal braces, they feature tooth-coloured or clear brackets to blend in with the teeth for a less noticeable appearance. We even have the option of tooth-coloured wires to make them blend in.
Ceramic braces are a great option for those who desire the fast results of metal braces without the look of metal braces.
Invisalign or ClearCorrect
(Invisible Braces)
Invisible Braces straighten your teeth through a series of clear, comfortable and removable aligners. Each aligner is slightly different, moving your teeth gradually into the desired position. For those who seek an option braces, Invisalign or ClearCorrect are for you.
